Simplest Sponge cake Ever! So most of the people have been messaging/messaged me on Instagram after posting this picture of wow cake for the recipe. I have asked about this cake on my Instagram feed and Story today’s post on feed literally I was amazed by the immense response on this cake in few hours! So I decide why to share this recipe that is so simple ever. I have tried a lot of recipes of making it but didn’t get that actual results, check my Instagram here if you haven’t already.
This is the actual picture before cutting it to eat. Let me tell you the whole story of it. When I was in Karachi for my classes, My #khaala (my mother’s sister) home, she insists me to make a cake for a try because she wanted to learn how to bake a cake for his husband ( He loves cakes) , as I was totally blind as I didn’t know how to make it properly because my inventions as a baking cake was like a nightmare, What I did that day then i just started searching for the recipe online and guess what I found? The simplest recipe ever! Jot down the recipe now:
Ingredients for sponge cake:
- All-purpose flour 125 grams.
- Castor sugar 125 grams.
- Melted butter/Oil( Ghee) 125 grams.
- 2 eggs Finely beat.
Mix castor sugar and butter/ghee(oil) together use whatever you like. I used beater if you don’t want to mix it with your hands and it’s will make it more smooth by using the beater, as I used beater instead. Take that portion aside now it’s time for beating eggs alongside in a separate bowl, beat it until it becomes foggy like texture. Now mix castor sugar and butter mixture with foggy eggs as a folding type way. Now mix all purpose flour into the mixture gradually as you don’t want to make a ball of it that will make your cake disaster, you can use beater instead for better results.
Now mixture is ready to go for baking, as I made this on Stove, you can also make it in an oven at 180° for 10 to 15 minutes. As compare to stove you have to make your flame on a lighter one because it takes sometimes to rise up and it will not make your cake on burning, put this mixture in a cake mould. Now ready the stove system.
Now Take a cooker and place it on a flame, now place a stand inside the cooker, cover it with the cap and leave it for 10 mints for preheating. After 10 minutes, remove the cap and place cake mixture mould on the stand then again cover the cooker with the cap and leave it for 25 minutes on a low flame. For checking, you can use the toothpick to making it sure.
But I used the knife for it #hehe that’s why the picture of the cake looks so weird from an upper side, #Taaaada its done! The half one is eaten by my #khaala #hehe.
